Reliable
Sport was started in 1932, by Edward Vos, as a bicycle
retailer and repair shop. Ed supported his family through the depression with
the business which gradually evolved in to a Honda motorcycle dealership. In
the 70's Reliable Cycle became Reliable Sport and Ski Haus, specializing in game
room equipment and downhill, cross country and water skis.
Ed's son's Ken and Don continued Reliable Sport & Ski Haus. To this day Ken run's the Holland store (Reliable Sport & Ski Haus) and Don along with his son, Jon, run the Grand Rapids store (Reliable Sport & Billiards) independently from the Holland location.
In the Spring of 2005, "Billiards by Christopher" was bought by Reliable Sport and in June of 2007 Reliable Sport & Ski Haus of Grand Rapids became Reliable Sport & Billiards.
